Gen, otherwise known as “HongthongLek” when he fights, was victorious yet again this weekend at Lumpinee stadium in a fight that was broadcast live in national television here in Thailand. Following the performance, we were informed that he will be getting the next stadium title fight at 115lbs.
For those who don’t know, becoming a Lumpinee stadium champion is what every serious Thai boxer dreams of and aspires to be. Gen has earned one Lumpinee belt already and if he’s able to pull of another victory, he’ll add another to his collection.
We don’t have information yet on when the title fight will take place but in the meantime, Gen will be training very hard here at Team Quest Thailand. Expect some training footage to follow and perhaps even a mini documentary.
